Live and Learn Playgroups are running Monday to Friday mornings, in Metcalfe plus Wednesday & Friday mornings at our Osgoode location.

**  Holiday Hours:  RFC office will be closed December 25, 26 & January 1st.

Osgoode location playgroups are closed December 12th, 19th, AND December 24th – January 4th.

Metcalfe location playgroups are closed December 24th to January 4th.

PIO (Parenting in Ottawa) WILL BE onsite and open in Metcalfe December 19th & January 2nd!

Each playgroup day, our Resource Facilitator set up playgroup experiences and activities that include:

Crafts, Imaginative Play, Sensory Play, Toys and Activities for Small Motor/Cognitive Development, Infant-Toddler appropriate play area and toys, Books/Quiet Area. Each playgroup morning ends with story-time and songs lead by one of our experienced Resource Facilitators. A small kitchen provides room for snacks. NOTE: Please respect our Nut-free Policy (Including all nuts and sesame ingredients)

 

Playgroups for Childcare Providers Only ($)

Mondays and Fridays 9:00 – 11:00 Children 0-6 yrs. (Advanced Registration Required)

Open to Child care providers and their children, including the licensed and unlicensed sector.

 

Playgroups For Parents/Guardians and Providers

Tuesdays, Thursdays Metcalfe Village 9:00 – 11:00 Children 0-6 yrs.

Wednesdays, Fridays Osgoode Village 9:00 – 11:00 Children 0-6 yrs.

Sponsored by Ontario Early Years Centre, Nepean-Carleton, these playgroups are free, however space is limited on a first-come first-served basis each day. We reserve the right to declare a playgroup FULL and will turn away additional clients when we feel the centre is at capacity.

 

“Lullababies” Playgroup for Babies and Toddlers

Wednesdays 9:00 – 11:00 0-14 months with parents or providers

Lullababies is also sponsored by Ontario Early Years Centre, Nepean-Carleton and is free to families. Part of the morning is spent socializing and sharing with other parents and professionals. A hands-on activity is demonstrated that illustrates a developmental milestone your child has or will achieve. The neuroscience research will be explained whenever possible. This activity will be part of a music nursery rhyme circle. Baby scales available.
